Air Rifle Range Approved
Today the squadron received final approval for it's newly constructed indoor air rifle range. The range, situated in the main hall, will allow any cadets to participate in target shooting without having to travel to other approved ranges.
Built over the previous few months, the range offers cadets the chance to take part in target shooting at 5.5m and 9m distances and using three positions - prone, kneeling and standing. It was built by members of staff at the squadron, with the firing plinths being built and donated by an ex-cadet.
The squadron is now planning to take part in a number of postal target shooting competitions over the coming months.
