Probationer Cadets endure Boot Camp
5 new cadets this weekend atended boot camp to boost their training and develop their skills.
On Saturday15th December 5 new cadets endured a days 'Boot Camp' at the squadron.
Probationers Moore, Brownlee, Fletcher, McCrae and Billany worked very hard to get through a days training. The busy programme included drill lessons wih CWO Gralko and SGT Love, First Aid Heartstart course with Fg Off Gallagher and Annie (the practice dummy), a uniform maintainance lesson and bulling class with C.I Russell. The cadets were also shown the CS95 kit they would be required to have and also some tricks and tips from Mr Russell, he showed the probationers his 'Gucci' kit.
The five of them done very well and managed to complete the Heartstart course and have almost completed their drill training.
The purpose of the weekend was to top-up the training the new cadets already recieve on parade nights. A second boot camp is planed for February which will see the probationers, hopefully, becoming First Class cadets and being awarded their badges. This will then allow them to begin the real Air Cadet experience with flying, gliding, shooting and adventure training.
Well done to all who attended and keep up the hard work!
