Clay Pigeon Shooting
Clay Pigeon Shooting at Dechmont
Shooting with a difference...
Today cadets and staff of 1701 Sqn travelled to Dechmont ranges to take part in some shooting, only this time it wasn't the normal rifle range, it was Clay Pigeon Shooting with shotguns. A very cold day again but that didn't dampen the spirits of the cadets from 1701, 2452 and 1740 Sqn's. The day was a great success with the cadets being shown how to shoot from different angles and sometimes at more than one clay at a time! The moving target adds that extra bit of excitment compared with the static target shooting. Some cadets were very good and have been encouraged to try out for the Wing team!
Glasgow & W. Scotland Wing are very lucky to have qualified staff and excellent facilities and equipment avaiable to us.
Thanks to Sqn Ldr Hawthorne, Flt Lt White and Flt Lt McIllroy for running the range and we look forward to doing it again soon!
