Sergeant Love goes for gold!
Congratulations to cadet Sergeant Michael Love who was tonight presented with his Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award!
Tonight Sergeant Michael Love received his Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award badge. Michael has now succesfully completed all three stages of the award, a tremendous achievment and one that not very many people have managed to do! Infact, he is the only cadet currently attending 1701 Squadron who has gained the Gold award.
Squadron Leader Brian Wilson RAFVR(T) was on hand to present the badge to Sgt Love, quite fitting as not only is Sqn Ldr Wilson our Wing Staff Officer he is also the Wing Duke of Edinburgh's Award Officer. He commented that to achieve a Duke of Edinburgh's award is something anyone can be rightly proud of but to have acheived Gold, completing all three levels along the way, is an absolutley outstanding feat!
Sergeant Love is now authorised to wear the Gold badge on his uniform, well done Michael!
